Kuala Lumpur GARDEN CITY OF LIGHT, or Kuala Lumpur, meaning 'muddy river', was first settled by the Chinese in the 1950's and slowly grew into a mining town. In 1886, it was made the capital of Federated Malay States which later became Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is known as KL to its residents. The city displays a perfect mix of ancient and modern architecture, blending perfectly with oriental and western influences.
By day, the city beats to the drum of international commerce and finance. By night, KL is lit with an abundance of fairy lights and evening entertainment pulsates with bars, restaurants, cafes, pubs, discotheques and so forth. The Petronas Twin Tower, the largest building in the world is located in the city centre. From every vantage point in the city, the Twin Tower can be seen looming majestically; as is the Menara Kuala Lumpur, the tallest tower in South East Asia.
The cultural side of KL offers a medley of museums, art galleries, theatres, world-class concert halls and an array of mosques, temples, churches and Hindu shrines.
Kuala Lumpur is adept at reconciling the old with the new. How the city excels at striking this balance is clearly observed in how the colonial façade and structure of the Sultan Abdul Samad building blends intimately with the tall, freestanding wonder of The Petronas Twin Towers. Naturally, there's more to the face and feature of Kuala Lumpur than these two world famous landmarks. The old railway station is one. The Masjid Jamek is another. And then, there's the new headquarters of Telekom Malaysia that curves skyward in its design and daring.

DAY 1 : Arrive Kuala Lumpur
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur to a warm welcome. Upon arrival, you will be driven to your hotel, Check-in to your hotel and enjoy the evening experiencing the beautiful city of Kuala Lampur. Relax and stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 : Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, proceed on city-tour of Kuala Lumpur. Visit the National Monument, the Gate of the King's Palace, the Moorish-style railway station building and the National Mosque and Merdeka Square with the Tudor-style Royal Selangor Club in the background. Thereafter, visit the imposing KL Tower. Drive past the Jamek Mosque, the House of Parliament and the Petronas Twin Towers. Hereafter, you can either enjoy the afternoon at leisure or take an optional tour of the fun-filled Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. Enjoy dinner at a local Indian Restaurant. Return for a comfortable stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 : Kuala Lumpur - Genting
After breakfast, proceed to visit the Batu Caves dedicated to Lord Murugan, a revered Hindu deity. Hereon, go on a full day tour to Genting Highlands, a magnificent city perched on a hilltop close to 2,000 meters above the sea-level. Enjoy one of the world longest cable car ride. After reaching Genting ,experience thrill at the Genting Outdoor Theme Park enjoying an array of exciting roller-coasters and boat rides amidst ingenious landscaping. With unlimited rides and games like Space Shot, Space Mountain, Flume Ride and Flying Dragon and Super Toboggan, this theme park can prove to be an incredible treat for the kids. Thereafter, try your luck at South-East Asia's biggest casino. Enjoy dinner at a local Indian restaurant and drive back to Kuala Lumpur for a relaxing stay overnight at your hotel.
DAY 4 : Departure Kuala Lumpur
Breakfast in the hotel (7 AM. to 9 AM).Check Out from the hotel (enjoy your free day for shopping). Later take your transfer to airport to catch your flight back. |
